Description
Birds of prey and owls are unlike most other animals kept in captivity. Consequently, keeping and flying raptors requires an above average level of knowledge to safeguard their welfare and to ensure their longevity.
This quiz will help you establish your baseline of understanding. Competent raptor keepers should easily achieve 100%, but don’t worry if you get a few wrong – we don’t share your results with anyone!
If you feel that you could do with a little more knowledge and understanding, then the range of Raptor Awards Courses should offer something suitable for you to study at home. Successful completion of all our self-study courses are formally certificated for your own personal record of achievement.
Full and part time face to face courses to develop your practical skills can be taken at any of our network of approved centres across the UK and in selected other countries.

For existing Professional Falconers:
If you are already a professional falconer and subject to licensing under The Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018, then this free quiz can help you meet your obligations to undertake an annual training needs analysis of all people responsible for the care of your birds of prey.
