What’s in this course?
Lesson 1: Bird of Prey Accommodation and Housing (Core Module C1)
Core Module 1: Bird of prey accommodation and housing is based on the National Standards for bird of prey welfare – devised by internationally renowned falconers and top raptor veterinarians .
For established professionals this is an excellent re-capping of the competences you have built up over time and supports your obligatory annual CPD target.
For new entrants to the field, this is an essential core learning module that is the pre-cursor to all further professional development.
You can read more about the standards and the expertise behind their development here:
Introductory text – a brief introduction about bird of prey accommodation and housing to help set the context of the course.
A downloadable worksheet – containing a series of questions / tasks that you will need to complete in full. These thelp develop your knowledge and understanding of the accommodation and housing needs of birds of prey kept for commercial purposes. You will upload your completed worksheet in order to complete the course and get your certificate.
Links to additional information – each module in the professional series guides you to authoritative information from world-class Falconers and Raptor Vets. Even if you are a Falconer of many years standing and experience, you may still find it worthwhile to read or re-read these sources before attempting to complete your worksheet or online quiz.
An online knowledge test – you must pass this test to get your certificate and your CPD Points / hours. As a professional Falconer you are expected to have the highest level of knowledge about your subject and you will need a 90% pass rate to complete.
