This is the learning portal from Raptor Awards Community Interest Company (not-for-profit)
Here you can find all the theory courses currently available from Raptor Awards (CIC).
If you are looking for the full certification where both theory and practical is completed please contact us or one of our assessors, you can also find out more here.
From absolute beginner to professional falconer, we have courses of interest to all raptor keepers in the UK and around the world.
Raptor Awards CIC is the only international educational body dedicated to improving the welfare of birds of prey and owls in the care and control of man. We work with a network of approved centres and instructors, all of whom are highly experienced professionals who have met our exacting standards.
Raptor Awards Courses are the only courses based on the National standards for bird of prey welfare; Read more about our expert panel and the evolution of the National Standards here: Link to the National Standards
Raptor Awards CIC is a not for profit body dedicated to bird of prey welfare. We have no shareholders and rely on volunteers and our patrons for support and expert opinion.
All courses on this web site can be studied online for our online theory certificates, or you can choose to work with an approved centre or approved instructor to gain hands-on experience and skills as well as completing the online theory quizzes to gain your full certification.

Please note: Raptor Awards Certificates are awarded to candidates who can demonstrate their background knowledge, understanding and skills. Our theory courses may be studied online at any time, with or without the support of an approved instructor/assessor. This is to gain a deeper insight into what it takes to keep, fly and train birds of prey. Online theory-only certificates can be awarded upon submission of all online quizzes but the completion of both the practical and theory alongside an assessor is needed to gain a full certification.
To be awarded full certificates you will need to undertake a formal assessment by an approved Raptor Awards Instructor/assessor. Please contact us or one of our assessors for this. More on this here.
