This course supports the Accredited Certificate in Raptor Rescue and Rehabilitation

This is a Professional Level Course with formal accreditation. It is intended for those who already practice Raptor Rehabilitation, for those wishing to pursue careers or volunteer as a Rehabilitator, and those who wish to set up rescue centres dealing with Birds of Prey.

This course sets the Professional Standards required to operate safely and effectively having due regard to:

  • The legislation applying to raptor rehabilitation
  • The ethics of rehabilitation and raptor welfare
  • Sound health and safety practices
  • Bid of Prey welfare

The syllabus for this course is International in scope and is suitable for Rehabilitators in all countries.

The Accredited Certificate of Competence is given to candidates who can demonstrate competence in all areas as detailed in Part 1 (Theory and background knowledge) and Part 2 (Practical skills) below.
