What is included in the course?
Your registration fee gives you immediate access to your own private learning account. Here you will find individual lessons for the five essential modules to enable you to keep a bird of prey and to ensure its health and longevity.
The course covers the following modules:
- C1. Accommodation and Equipment
- C2. Feeding and nutrition
- C3. Monitoring and maintaining health
- C4. Catching, restraining and moving birds of prey
- C5. Legislation (UK)
Your lessons provide background text, links to additional resources from the world’s leading falconers and specialist Raptor Vets, downloadable worksheets and a lesson quiz so that you can test your growing knowledge.

Need help? Once you are a Raptor Awards Candidate a world of help and support will open up for you. You can contact the team at Raptor Awards for help and advice at any time, and get connected into our network of Approved Instructors and Mentors.
Work with Birds of Prey
As a registered Raptor Awards candidate you can find great hands-on activities, and maybe even volunteer at one of our approved centres (subject to application and availability).
Certification
When you are ready you can apply for a Raptor Awards Certificate.
Certification is available at two levels, either partial certification (Theory) or full certification (Theory and Practical).
To achieve full certification you will be assessed by one of our approved network f Instructors/mentors (an assessment fee may apply)
